Creating Healthy Working Environments

We are committed to delivering buildings that foster healthy, high-performing environments for occupants. Our approach to sustainability is both pragmatic and commercially minded — we aim to achieve meaningful environmental outcomes without compromising on cost-efficiency or functionality.

All team members receive training during induction on our Waste and Recycling Procedure, which is grounded in the waste hierarchy: avoidance, reuse, recycling, energy recovery, treatment, containment, and disposal. We actively work to reduce environmental impact through responsible procurement practices, selecting goods and services that minimise pollution and preserve natural resources and biodiversity.

Continuous improvement is at the core of our environmental strategy. Through resource efficiency, emissions and waste reduction, and the refinement of construction practices, we drive measurable outcomes. Collaboration is key. We engage with clients, consultants, local authorities, subcontractors, suppliers, and the broader community to uphold and evolve our commitment to environmental best practice.

Pursuing Sustainable Building Practices

Streetscape operates under Building Engineering’s ISO 14001:2015-certified Environmental Management System, ensuring a consistent and accountable approach to sustainability across all construction projects. From planning through to construction, we prioritise environmentally responsible design and delivery through informed decision-making and site-specific analysis.

Environmental management is integrated within our broader IMS framework (safety, quality, and environmental), with a tailored IMS Plan developed for every project prior to site commencement. This includes identifying potential environmental impacts and implementing targeted mitigation strategies. All Streetscape personnel are trained in environmental awareness, with a strong focus on hazard identification, control measures, and continual improvement.
